I purchased this figure for my son. I believe in the future he will appreciate it. He will be 2 years in Sept. 2008. It is sad that the actor who played "The Joker" in this movie has passed away. That played a big role on my purchasing of this item. When I recieved it, It was in excellent condition and I recieved very quick. Very satisfied and I couldn't have asked for more.
Find it if you canJune 12, 2008 When the first batch of Dark Knight toys arrived, toy sellers and collectors snatched the Joker figures up fast. Both figures are very hard to find and if you can get one for a reasonable price, then I recommend getting one. I remember the other Joker figure and I did not purchase it but wish I had now. I bought this version of The Joker at a toy store-probably the last ill ever see it in stores till they make more Dark Knight toys. The guy at the store told me some guy bought all the Joker figures and when he found out it wasnt the one being sold at top dollar, he tried to return them. What a loser. Anyways, great toy if you can find it for under ten bucks...ha, good luck with that.

yes, this is a movie figure for this summer's The Dark Knight. yet the figure looks more like the kiddie version already seen on the cover of the children's books made for the movie. the figure's face bears no resemblance to Heath Ledger. maybe the scarred-up Joker with messy facepaint is too scary to make a kid's toy out of, or maybe Mattel found a kid's toy that looked like a recently-deceased actor would be too creepy for the young ones. but if you're looking for an attention to detail, skip this figure and buy the Movie Masters Joker instead.
on top of not looking like Heath Ledger, this figure has a few other things wrong with it. for one, it looks more like a repainted variant of what a 1st wave figure should look like. really, lime green pants? a dark green coat? the Joker wears a purple emsemble in all the trailers and posters we've seen. you'd expect them to release a Joker figure in his iconic purple suit first and save the green suited figure for a later wave when figure sales are down and people are looking for variety.
the "destructo-case" looks cool enough. the little "pranks" come mounted on pegs that attach to the inside of the case and allow for them to be removed, including the gun with the gag-flag. but since the peg is located directly on the handle of the gun, it's virtually impossible for the figure to hold it like a normal gun. whose bright idea was that? the same genius who thought that the green jacket and pants were a good idea?
kids might find this toy fun, but i'm waiting for the figure with the PURPLE suit and boxing glove rocket launcher accessory. and i'm still trying to pick up the Movie Masters Joker, but those are getting snatched up in a hurry everywhere i go.
