Excellent toyNovember 23, 2008 As yet we haven't given this to our son, its a Christmas present but my husband is pretty excited about it!!! We were delighted to open the box and see the quality and also the size of this toy. It is definitely money well spent!
Star Wars X-wing FighterOctober 17, 2008 I was very disappointed in this purchase. The wings have 2 clip on additions that will not stay on. With just simple movement they fall off all the time. :-(
Star Wars X-WingAugust 10, 2008 This toy was difficult to find so I was pleased when Amazon.com had one. It was bought for my grandson and he was thrilled. There's seldom any to be found so Amazon made a dream come true.
A Collectors ItemFebruary 8, 2008 The X-Wing arrive in a huge packaging and the model itself needs some minor assembly to display it in its full glory. Two pieces of its right wing and laser canon needs to be sloted into the turbine engine and you're done.
The model is scaled almost perfectly to the studio models used in filming. Earlier Star Wars X-Wing models in the late 70s are out of proportion and is clearly meant as a play toy. This model is large and when assembled looks terrific. Scale modellers can do more with the rudimentary painting to give it more colour and realistic weathering.
There is alot of detail in the model although they are not very accurate compared to the real scale models. Nonetheless this is a great model and one will find it hard to display it unless you have a really large cabinet.
I hang my model from the ceiling using nylon fish lines as I have no place to display it. I would recommend this model to any true, die hard Star Wars fan and you would truly enjoy reminiscing the time when you were a kid with this model.

The product was a lot bigger than I thought. And I finally decided to buy it after I read that the moss could be taken off. It is an amazing toy!
