One for two isn't bad...September 29, 2008 I am a new volleyball official, so I was excited to find this item which included both a stopwatch and a whistle, both of which I need to officiate volleyball tournaments. I purchased the set on clearance at Wal-Mart, and I thought I had hit the mother lode.
Unfortunately, the whistle is worthless. It makes the most pathetic and inconsistent sound, so I can never use it. However, the stopwatch, though basic, is exactly what I need. It's small and light, fits perfectly in my pocket, and allows me to watch the time during timeouts and between games.
I'm disappointed that both items weren't useful, but for the price that I paid, the stopwatch was still a worthwhile find.
Can't recall the splitsMarch 27, 2008 The stopwatch would be perfect if it would allow you to recall your split times. I bought it so I could time my daughter in her track relay races. The watch allows you to record the splits but after you push "stop" you can't go back and review any of the times. I don't have time during the race to try to remember 4 numbers as the split button is pressed. Even my Timex watch has a feature that allows me to recall the splits.
