These whistles are the whistles we used to carry with us when I worked as a deck hand on a crab boat in the bearing sea. They are extremely loud, and can be heard for great distances, even over ambient noises like a motor running, or waves. I highly recommend them as one of the best safety whistles I have found. top notch.

This whistle, based on a new patented design, produces a very VERY LOUD shrieking sound.
This whistle doesn't have the traditional ball, nor has it anything to do with other whistles I've used in the past.
The way of whistling with this whistle is also different: rather than suddenly pushing air into it you need to slowly blow to have that powerful sound.
So powerful is this whistle that it may be a good practice to blow it away from other people. I did not believe it was so powerful, but the reality it's even more powerful than what you may think: I usually end up with my ears ringing for a while after blowing this marvel whistle.
