Product Description This heat shrinkable FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene-Propylene) Tubing will shrink rapidly over inserted objects upon exposure to moderate heat. Soldered joints, parts, components and fittings of plastic, metal or wood that could not previously be protected because of the high temperature required for shrinkage can now have a transparent surface of Teflon with a continuous service temperature of 400 F (204 C). Shrinkage will occur completely at exposure to 350 F (177 C) with partial shrinkage beginning as low as 200 F (93 C). Suggested for connecting metal, glass or plastic tubes of similar or dissimilar diameters in low pressure applications. FEPs chemical resistance and dielectric properties are equal to PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene).
