Panasonic almost nailed it September 6, 2008 The best part about this phone is definitely the battery life. It just goes and goes. We'll leave one off of the cradle for days, then notice that it is on one bar, yet still manage to make that long phone call. We've never actually run one out of juice that I recall!
Another nice plus is how light weight the handsets are; and without being puny and awkward. The buttons are large and easy to push and the speakerphone and mute buttons are conveniently located. The paging feature is great, but tends to be overused by a certain significant other. :-) The voice quality has been great, and the range is really good.
My only beef with this phone is how difficult it is to delete a message when getting the voicemail from one of the handsets. You have to push Menu, down, down, right, up, right. That's pretty ridiculous. Fortunately, if you are checking VM from the base unit, there is a convenient delete button.
Overall, this is by far the best set of phones I've ever had, and I've had several. This is almost entirely due to the battery life, though if these phones had standard battery life, than I might still prefer them over most of the others on the market due to their other virtues.
Works like a champ September 5, 2008 Easy to set up, works through walls, clear sounding. Just follow instrucions to charge up before use. Takes a good six hours.
Good decision September 5, 2008 This system is well worth the price. We have had the system for over a month and the range, clarity and volume are far more than adequate for our needs. The ability to have each handset have a different ring is entertaining because when the phone rings it sounds like a clock shop at the top of an hour. The menu navigation is a little tricky, but certainly not enough of an issue to change our opinion of the system.
I love these phones! September 4, 2008 My phones just came today, but after they were set up, there was enough charge in them to try them out. First, they have great reception and are easy to use. I have cable telephone service and there is no conflict. I haven't read the book yet, so haven't set up any of the special features. I am disabled and especially like the pager and intercom since I often need help, and it is so nice to just press the buttom to talk to another room. The price was very reasonable, so it will be no problem to order another if needed. Thanks again.
This is my second set of Panasonic phones that doesn't work September 3, 2008 I've long relied on Panasonic phones, but the last two sets (within a year!) have been a complete bust. This one just drops out calls all the time! I will have to switch to a new system--these just aren't reliable anymore. I don't know what's happened to their quality control.
