Inspired by the story of ill-fated Chinese lovers, the soup bowls display their story through dominant blue-on-white images including a tea house, a pavilion, orange and willow trees, a guided boat and two birds that are said to be reincarnations of the lovers. THE BLUEWILLOW SOUP BOWLS,WHERE WHAT MY MOTHER LOST DUE TOO HURRICANE KATRINA,IN NEW ORLEANS.MY GRANDMOTHER HAD THE SET,GAVE TO MY MOTHER,BEFORE SHE PASSED AWAY,NOW MY MOTHER HAS PASSED AWAY 3/14/07,SO I'M TRYING REPLACE SOME OF HER LOST ITEMS.
