5 out of 5 stars For $20 you can't go wrong   August 11, 2008
Excellent pasta set. Great gift for anyone. Being made with a steel clad bottom it is quite heavier and better built than Prime Pacific. I think it is a better deal than Prime Pacific at $10 less even without the collander.

1 out of 5 stars Not up to expectations   June 9, 2008

Based on other reviews, I expected a much better product. After several uses, the pan is now heating unevenly. I can only guess that there is a defect in the reenforced bottom. Water no longer comes to an even boil, only around the edge now. The pan has not been dropped so I can't see why there's a problem. And since it's used now, I can't return it.

3 out of 5 stars A bit on the flimsy side   May 31, 2008

The walls are thinner and the bottom not as thick as I expected. I have cooked pasta in it only once and it already has a discoloration from the burner coils on the inside. You can probably avoid this by lowering the heat and taking a longer time to bring your water to boil. Also, the steamer basket does not seat as well as it should in the rim of the pot.

Other than that, it seems OK. It will probably last for a while and is not worth the trouble to return.

4 out of 5 stars Good for the money   March 27, 2008

Overall I'm very happy with this product. Granted it is not heavy-duty or restaurant quality, but for the money it is a very good product. The first time I used this pot it appeared to start to stain. I was not happy. I soaked it and gave it a better wash and now it looks almost as good as new again. It gets the job done and seems to work well so far.

The walls of the stock pot are thinner than i was expecting. THe bottom of the pot is ok, thick enough to distribute heat. I like the pasta insert and the steamer.
