Fits Farberware 10-inch frying pan & 8 qt. potOctober 8, 2008 Very pleased with this product. Perfect fit for the Farberware 10-inch frying pan & 8 qt. pot.
Perfect fit for Farberware pansJune 2, 2008 I have a number of stainless steel Farberware Classic 10" pans and this lid fits them all perfectly - including an 8-quart stockpot and a 10" frypan from an old Farberware set, as well as the 10" skillet from their current "Skillet Twin Pack" (SKU #71229). As other reviews have noted, these lids and pans are actually smaller than 10" - closer to 9 3/8" (or 24 cm). So if you're looking for lids to fit pans of a different brand, beware.
Fits my Farberware pansMarch 25, 2008 I own all Farberware pans, non-stick and traditional, some 15 years old. In fact my parents still own their original set that was a wedding gift over 40 years ago. They are still in great shape. The black has faded a bit but not one handle has broken or cracked. I purchased three sizes of these glass lids and have been using them for almost a year now. I love them. They fit just right. I dont know why so many reviews say the lids dont fit. I can only guess they are not using Farberware pots and pans. The lids are made well with thick glass. Cleans well. Mine still look brand new. It is a nice change to be able to watch the cooking.
Good lidJanuary 21, 2008 We bought this lid after trying the Fagor lid. The Farberware lid has a slightly smaller rim by about 1/8-3/16th of an inch and it fit our cookware.
The construction of the two lids is identical with the exception of the handle. No doubt, the Fagor is probably a "factory" brand while Farberware is the name brand.
If your pan fits a 10-inch lid with a rim of about 9 1/2 inches, you should consider the Farberware lid over the Fagor. If you need a rim closer to 9 3/4, then the Fagor is probably going to be a good fit.
Farberware 10-Inch Glass LidDecember 26, 2007 The product did not meet our expectations at all. It did not fit a 10" frying pan -- it was less than 10" in diameter!!!
