Gold Tone Filter - Used for 2 WeeksNovember 11, 2008 Good design. Cleaning: Time consuming and I use a lot of warm to hot water. Does not filter as well as the paper cones. Leaves a lot of dark heavey coffee in the bottom of the pot and in your cup if you mix it up. Coffee tastes ok. If you really want to use this, buy two or three. That way you can rinse it out and put in dishwaher instead of cleaning it so much. We went back to the paper ones. Wanna buy mine!

works wellSeptember 28, 2008 Hope it will last long enough to make it a better choice environmentally than paper. It's nice not to worry about running out of paper filters, but now I spend some extra time & water every day to rinse this one out.
Coffee with better flavorAugust 31, 2008 I had lost this Gold Tone Filter that I had purchased for my Cuisinart 1200 and was using the coffee maker with only the #4 paper filters. After buying the replacement GTF filter and using it with the #4 paper filters, I would say the bitterness disappeared almost instantaneously and the coffee flavor was more robust and much smoother. A winning combination.
Good replacementJuly 20, 2008 Needed a new one for mine which had a whole in it. Ordering from Amazon is the easiest way to get one.
