I would not say this is a must have for any Roomba owner, but it will make your life much easier. The side brush on my Roomba had snapped all but two brushes, so I was very happy to replace it. I have not needed to replace any other brushes, but it make life much easier for me. Now, when my Roomba stops running because the brushes need cleaning, I just trade them out and clean the brushes when the time is better for me. A convenience well worth the price of the replacement kit.

This package was everything I wanted, including an exceptional value! Just the price of the extra "lighthouse" alone on other sites was nearly the price of this whole package. If you have recently purchased a robo vacum this is absoulutely the next thing you want to buy for it. We love our roomba(also purchased from Amazon). With proper care and regular cleaning it will last many years!!! As for the poor reviews on what this package contains.Nothing is hidden the listing clearly shows what you are buying so if you don't need or want all the extra stuff why would you buy this package in the first place? Those negative reviews are about something you did not want but chose to purcase anyway, not about the true value or quality of the products.

This particular bundle of accessories for the Roomba 500 series is an amazing deal! I really needed another lighthouse and the brushes were wearing out. The cover to my Roomba was also cracked and scratched from getting jammed under a certain part of our couch. This bundle took care of everything, was neatly packed and shipped quickly!

I have owned two Roombas for about a year, and use them several times a week to clean up after my golden retriever. While they do a great job picking up the tons of hair she sheds, quite a bit of it gets wrapped around the bearings at the ends of the brushes. This extra strain on the little pins that hold the bearings onto the brush has caused them to loosen over time and eventually they won't stay in place any longer.
While some users won't have a need to ever replace their brushes, my circumstances are different and I will probably need to replace them annually. This accessory kit is a good deal at the usual price, and was a great price at the Gold box special for $39.00. As an added bonus, the box came with 4 of the bristle brushes, 4 of the beaters, and extra filters rather than the three sets of brushes shown in the photo.
Golden retrievers + Roombas = a happy dog owner with a clean house.
