| Customer Reviews:
Hot little switch April 29, 2007 The 3Com switch runs physically pretty hot, I do not know how much electricity it uses but perhaps quite a bit since it is on 24 hours a day. It has a number of rather large blue lights for each Ethernet line. Unlike many switches, it gives full gigabyte speeds (rather than the more common 100-megabit speed). I don't think there is any way to configure it (no web-browser access, for example), just plug it in and use it. There is no indication if a line is running at gigabit speeds, or is connected to (for example) a slower network adapter and is running at 100-megabits. For some reason, my VPN connection will no longer work when run through this switch.
