Charlie's Angels: The Complete Second Season has no shortage of the good-natured cheese and eye candy that made the primetime television show's debut season wildly popular in 1976. The Angels had a new look in their second year: Farrah Fawcett, arguably the most popular of the show's three actresses, departed before the sophomore season and was replaced by another blonde dazzler, Cheryl Ladd. (Ladd's character, Kris Munroe, was the younger sister of Fawcett's Jill Munroe, whose exit is explained in the premiere episode as a liberated woman's career move: Jill has decided to race cars in Spain.) No sooner does Kris settle in than a crisis sweeps through off-screen Charlie's private investigation agency. While cavorting on Oahu in the two-part "Angels in Paradise," Charlie is kidnapped by a smuggler (France Nuyen), who demands the Angels break her husband out of jail in exchange for their boss's life. Bubbly Kris, brainy Sabrina Duncan (Kate Jackson), beauteous Kelly Garrett (Jaclyn Smith), and sidekick Bosley (David Doyle) are compelled to soak up rays and sip fruity mixed drinks in Waikiki while fighting crime in various guises, re-establishing, for another season, Charlie's Angels' dramatic and aesthetic game plan for every episode: start slow with lots of idle chatter, put the girls in a ridiculous undercover situation, and get them out of their clothes as much as possible. The pattern continues in the silly "Angels on Ice," starring old hands Phil Silvers and Jim Backus, in which our heroines join an ice show to find out who kidnapped a pair of skaters. "Pretty Angels All in a Row" finds Kelly and Kris reluctant entrants in a "Miss Chrysanthemum Pageant" (no, you won't find Kate Jackson in a swimsuit this year, either) rigged by organized crime. "Circus of Terror," co-starring James Darren, enlists the Angels in the carney life. If there is anything to complain about regarding season 2, it is that the novelty of Charlie's Angels has worn a little thin, and every episode feels the same. Still, there are surprises: "The Sammy Davis Jr. Kidnap Caper" stars the late rat-packer in peril and much bemused by the presence of three comely bodyguards. --Tom Keogh

Before I begin, I would just like to say that I am writing this review much like a "first time" viewer would. I was ten years old when Charlie's Angels hit the airwaves and watched the show each week as if it were required by law! That was, however, over 30 years ago! Before purchasing Season's One and Two, I had not seen a single episode since it's original run.
When I came to the end of Season One, I was a bit upset that I was going to have to make the transition from Farrah Fawcett to Cheryl Ladd. To my ultimate delight, I barely noticed the switch. Ms. Ladd took over in a way that made my heart go "pitter-patter!" It's truly amazing how well she immediately fit in with Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith. To me, she completely leveled the playing field for the show.
In Season One, it's not difficult to figure out that Farrah stole a bit of thunder from Kate and Jaclyn. I personally don't feel this way, but the producers obviously did. Farrah wore the super-sexy outfits, she had the big beautiful hair, and she rarely wore a bra. I think that they tried to portray her as the woman every man wanted, but could never have.
When Cheryl Ladd emerged on the screen she was the ultimate "girl next door." Her constant smile and charming personality was a great addition to the show. At times, they did dress her in the super-sexy outfits like they did with Farrah. While Cheryl definitely "filled them out" far better than Farrah did, she never seemed unapproachable. Yes she was sexy, but first and foremost...she was just plain cute!
Season Two of Charlie's Angels is a great collection complete with action, glamour, glitz, and light-hearted humor. It's also a bargain! You get 26 episodes at a running time of 1127 minutes. That's almost 19 hours of entertainment at a very low cost.
Furthermore, you will be introduced to the wonderful Cheryl Ladd, and fall even more in love with Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith.
MPI Home Video's Angels June 17, 2008
Sony Pictures, selling Charlie's Angels to MPI Home Video would be a perfect idea for the fans, who have waited 6 years to collect all 5 Seasons of the series on DVD. Please do not say no to my suggestion. MPI Home Video will be willing to re-release the first 3 seasons, and release the 2 remaining seasons with no problems. Please sell Charlie's Angels to MPI Home Video!

I just want to say I love watching this show. If you have ever watched the show you know that this show rocks. I love watching Cherl Ladd, this and season 3 are the best. If you watch any shows this would be the one to watch. If you have never seen the show I suggest trying it you will enjoy it as much as I have.

Charlie's Angels are back! And with a new angel! The number 1 reason why season 2 of Charlie's Angels is my favorite out of all five seasons is because of the debut of Cheryl Ladd! Kris Munroe is my favorite angel of them all! When Cheryl Ladd debuted on the show,she brought the comedy aspect,I thought she was funnier,more diverse,and a better actress than Farrah. For me season 2 is more entertaining than season 1 because season 2 is not as serious as season 1,the storylines are not as heavy,and the episodes are not as grimy. Basically speaking,season 2 is lighter and funnier than season 1. I really love,appreciate,and enjoy the comedy aspect that Cheryl Ladd brings to the show,I love her character as Kris Munroe,silly,goofy,bubbly,and OH SO HEAVENLY! Cheryl Ladd is hot! Out of her entire run on the show,I think the comedy aspect is at its strongest in season 2. In season 2 we were truly blessed because we got to see Kris (lil'baby sis)in a bikini/bathing suit so often,(that's what's up!),in season 1 big sister Jill never wore a bikini because of a real life child hood scar on her stomach,and she was rarely seen in a bathing suit. Season 2 is my favorite season,and it was indeed A DAWNING OF A NEW ERA! It was a new season,a new angel,a new time slot,and higher ratings! Season 2 began the run of my favorite trio,Kelly,Kris,and Sabrina,and I think that during this era the show was at its strongest! My fondest memories of this show was during the Kelly,Kris,and Sabrina years,these are the angels that I mostly grew up with,these are the angels that I remember the most,and that I am mostly fond of. Season 2 was the debut of my favorite angel,Cheryl Ladd(aka Kris Munroe)! With her debut she made season 2 special,a real gem,and a pleasure to watch over and over again! Cheryl Ladd was the perfect replacement for Farrah,"Kris Munroe" was the savior of our beloved show,and she will forever hold a special place in my heart! Cheryl Ladd is hot,she is indeed heavenly sent,and it is because of her that I label season 2 of Charlies Angels A GIFT FROM THE HEAVENS ABOVE! I purchased season 3,and I love it,my favorite aspect of season 3 is the return of Farrah and the interaction between Jill and Kris Munroe. I am anxiously awaiting seasons 4 and 5(come on Sony let's get it moving!).In season 4 I think automatically Kelly should have become the leader since she,with the departure of Sabrina,was the only original and senior angel,instead of the producers trying to make Tiffany Wells(the new angel) the new leader.But don't get it twisted,I was definitely loving Kris as the new leader,my favorite angel as the leader,that's what's up! From what I remember about season 4 the bikini/bathing suit wearing/cleavage showing went down(bad news),but here's some good news,it was all brought back in full force in season 5,with the addition of Tanya Roberts! Yes,Julie brought sexy back! And from what I remember,Julie had one hell of a body and looked awesome in a bikini! This is why I am eagerly and anxiously awaiting the release of season 5,and in this season,even though it was shorter,this is the season where you see all 3 angels in bikinis the most,that's what's up! And I am eagerly and anxiously awaiting the release of season 4,because it had 3 more episodes of Farrah and because my favorite angel Kris became the leader,she went from being the "rookie" angel to becoming the leader in just 2 years! That's what's up! And besides,I need seasons 4 and 5 in order to complete my Charlie's Angels collection! Anyway,back to season 2,I think it was the best season out of all 5,it is definitely my favorite season,Kris Munroe is my favorite angel,and I most definitely give season 2 5 stars! Season 2 is TRULY A HEAVENLY GEM! I love all 5 seasons,and all 6 angels,Kris Munroe being my favorite! In fact "Kris Munroe" is one of my 4 favorite television blondes of all time! My 4 favorite television blondes are Kris Munroe(Charlies Angels),Jill Munroe(Charlies Angels),Jody Banks(Fall Guy),and the number one blonde of them all,and my absolute favorite(drum roll please)from the WWE 7-time Woman's Champion TRISH STRATUS!(she's retired now,but I hope she comes back!)My favorite Cheryl Ladd movie without a doubt is her 1996 flick "Vows Of Deception"! In this movie Cheryl was truly angelic and heavenly,and OH SO HOT! She was just as hot in this movie as she was in season 2 of Charlie's Angels! Anyway I have seasons 1-3 of Charlie's Angels and I am awaiting the release of season 4 and 5. It has already been 20 months(almost 2 years)since the release of season 3,and it's about time for the release of seasons 4 and 5! I have already E-mailed and written a letter to Sony Pictures to please hurry up and release seasons 4 and 5 of "The Greatest Television Show Of All Time",Charlies Angels! If you have not already done so,please write a letter or e-mail Sony Pictures and urge them to please hurry up with the release of the last 2 seasons! Season 1 was released May 2003,Season 2 was released April 2004,and Season 3 was released July 2006! There was a 2 year wait between the release of seasons 2 and 3,and it has been almost 2 years,and yet their is still no seasons 4 and 5! That's why when I wrote to Sony Pictures,I urged them to release seasons 4 and 5 simultaneously,so that when season 4 is FINALLY released,we don't have to wait ANOTHER 2 YEARS for the release of season 5! So I STRONGLY urge my fellow Charlie's Angels fans,if you have not done so already,PLEASE send Sony Pictures a message,and let them know just how badly you WANT AND NEED ALL OF YOUR ANGELS ON DVD! You can get Sony Pictures E-MAIL address from the Charlie's Angels website [...]. Seasons 4 and 5 of Charlie's Angels were not that successful,so Sony may not want to release them,but if enough fans write to them and DEMAND the release of these last 2 seasons(please do so strongly,but politely)then they will have to release them! I remember watching Charlie's Angels back in the 70's and 80's every week. I am happy to be able to get them on dvd. This is actually my favorite lineup. So seasons 2 and 3 are great seasons IMO. Nothing against the other angels as I love them all, but I think Kelly, Chris and Sabrina had a certain chemistry that worked wonders. I will still purchase all 5 of them.
