5 out of 5 stars Runs Crysis [Very High] no AntiAliasing, at 42 fps   November 1, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

This card can run crysis very high graphics settings at 42 fps ocasionally dropping to mid 30s (20-25 is the minimum decent playable fps). And I mean the original unoptimized crysis, the one that brings monster computers to its knees. No Anti-aliasing, though. Resolution 1680x1050 (my monitor native resolution). Rig is: Q9550, Asus P5Q3, 4 Gb 1333 DDR3.

Cons: VERY LARGE, make sure it fits your chasis, I had to retrofit mine to make space for this card.

4 out of 5 stars Reliable, a better choice than the 9000 series   October 24, 2008

This was a good purchase for me. The 260 GTX cooling fans are MUCH quieter than the upper-level 9000-series Nvidia cards.

But, under high GPU work loads I believe that this card could be quieter, which is why I can't give it 5 stars.

I would recommend this card over any 9000-series card, and I would recommend it over the much cheaper 8800 GT, which is totally inept at keeping itself cool under high work loads.

5 out of 5 stars Solid Graphics Card   October 6, 2008
I'm not a technical expert, but I had no problems installing this graphics card. So far, I have no complaints about my graphics processing; I think this is a solid purchase.

5 out of 5 stars Fastest yet   October 3, 2008
I just got this card and i was alittle skeptical at first
im running an athlon x2 6000 with 3 gigs of ram.

with this card i can run any high end game i throw at it with smooth playability.

5 out of 5 stars Great high performance graphics card   July 8, 2008

Summary:
Pro: Very stable (much better than my previous SLI setup), low temp, low power (works fine with my old 550w power supply). High performance - can play all games at maximum settings at 1920x1200.
Con: The card is very long and takes up two slots. Might cause some problems with small cases, or mean you have to rewire some other components.

I bought one last week to replace my aging 7900 SLI setup. I used to have lots of stability problems with SLI - with lockups, graphics corruption, overheating etc. Thats all gone now, and instead I get silky smooth performance at the highest settings, even on demanding games like Crysis. For a brand new, top end card its also a reasonable price, although of course its more expensive than a mainstream card like the 9800gtx.
