First time actually buying pc accesoriesNovember 2, 2008 This is my first experience buying an accesory for my pc and so far I can say this has been a really great experience, fast service, secure, low cost, awesome card. Too bad I haven't had the time to tried it at its full capacity but is working great so far, I really do feel like this is at least 5 times better than my original card but I still need to do a lot more testing to be completely satisfied.

Well all i can say that is a nice card. i can play crysis with full graphic and other games.
I recomend this card to others people wanna buy it!.
It just worksSeptember 28, 2008 I purchased this card after lots of years as a nVidia fanboi. I wanted this card to play Age of Conan and Warhammer Online. I wanted this card to drive a Dell 30" at 2560 x 1600.
I replaced my nVidia card, after installing Catalyst 8.7 and everything worked fine.
I was impressed with the ease of use to get it to work, truly plug and play.
I have recommended this card to numerous friends and only one has gone back to the overpriced nVidia solutions.
Buggy ATI Software (Still)!September 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I took a 8 year hiatus from ATI video cards and switched over to Nvidia. Back then ATI drivers were notorious for being buggy, late arriving, and having issues with a few select games. I see some things haven't changes dispite the fact that AMD has purchased ATI. In this particular case it's not the driver itself this time but rather the ATI CATALYST CONTROL CENTER software that controls the display features. It suddenly displays an error message upon Windows start-up and will not load. I did NOTHING to cause this to start happening. I did a Google search and discovered all kinds of well documented cases of the same problems. In addition, when you try to uninstall the Catalyst software, it still leaves items in your hard drive's "programs" folder and in the context menu. BACK TO NVIDIA I GO!
Careful when buying this.September 17, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've got this card two days ago and had two bad impressions. First thing, unlike most other brands this card did not come with 6-pin power connector that is needed to supply the card with power if you have PSU without 6-pin. After getting my 6-pin connector (hard to find in local shops), I ran the card and after checking its temperature it appeared to run way too hot. I'm getting 72-74c idle and up to 85c load temp, this is probably due to the poor diamond heatsink. I'll probably be forced to buy custom heatsink for this card later. Other than that I haven't got any technical issues and the card runs games as fast as expected. Minus 2 stars for the issues I had above, this card gets 3 star score.
